Application Guide

Step 1: Check Your Eligibility

Review the scholarship criteria carefully to ensure you meet all the requirements before applying.

Step 2: Gather Required Documents

Proof of academic performance (transcripts, report cards, WAEC/JAMB scores, etc.), Proof of financial need (letters or documents showing your financial situation), Two letters of recommendation (one from a teacher and one from a community leader), Personal statement (500 words) explaining your academic goals, career aspirations, and how the scholarship will impact your life. Applicant Criteria

Criteria

Academic Exellence

Applicants must demonstrate strong academic performance with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (or equivalent) for ongoing students. Recent high school graduates must provide evidence of exemplary academic achievement (such as school report cards, WAEC, or JAMB scores).

Geographic Eligibility

The scholarship is primarily open to students from Isuikwuato, Abia State, but outstanding students from neighboring communities may also apply.

Pursuit of Full-time Study

Applicants must be enrolled or intend to enroll in full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programs at a recognized institution, either in Nigeria or internationally.

Character and Integrity

Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation—one from a teacher or academic advisor and one from a community leader, demonstrating good moral character and commitment to their studies

Financial Need

Applicants must demonstrate financial need. Applicants should provide supporting documentation, such as a letter of need from a guardian, school fees statement, or other relevant evidence of financial hardship.

Community Involvement and Leadership

Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to community service or leadership within their community, school, or other organizations. Evidence of participation in volunteer work is required.

Age Limit

Applicants must be between 16 to 25 years old for undergraduate scholarships.

Historical Research Requirement

Applicants must submit a 2-4 page (double spaced) essay on the history, legacy and contributions of Eze Ezo Ukandu, highlighting his impact on education, leadership, and community development. of His Royal Majesty, Eze Sir Dr. Ezo Ukandu, JP. This essay should highlight his contributions to education, community development, and peacebuilding. It is intended to ensure applicants understand and are inspired by the legacy of the scholarship’s namesake.

Scholarship Conditions:

  1. Recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 (or equivalent) throughout their studies.
  2. Recipients are required to present proof of participation in community service in their Local Government Area.
  3. Continued funding is subject to satisfactory academic performance and adherence to the scholarship’s terms and conditions.
